Obviously, this song is about the death of a lover. It's absolutely wonderful, because i can even relate to it after having a bad breakup.. Usually i'm not quite into screaming in stead of singing, but here, the last verse is soo touching. You can almost hear the singer hold back his tears (or at least I can..)

I hope the stars still spell out your name where you are.

i want this song to be played at my "funeral". in fact i want to be dust when i die, so in the burning ceremony i would like to hear this from beyond the death. i want my very loved persons, left behind in life, to hear this as they watch me desapear from this world. it's a nice way to say goodbye.

i would prefer the idea of death....maybe because in the end "I'll see you soon" may include the thought of suicide....just a short idea...

what i first thought of when i heard this song was him leaving his love for a while (for tour maybe?) and how he misses her.

This song is about unwillingly accepting loss and knowing that you must move on no matter how much you hate it. This song is beautiful. It makes me want to learn piano. I think it's great when a band can even add harsh vocals into a ballad.
