okay, this song is actually about the way mike took a break from linkin park to work on the fort minor stuff.

he relates it to life and death - people thought he had left linkin park but he's still in linkin park, ergo, still "alive".

so, yeah, this is about how he'll come back from FM, back to LP, but he needs some time out.
this is all in past tense 'cause he went back into the mix with LP after 2006. :) but, yeah, this whole thing hit me in the face a little while back.
