A Name Lyrics
These don't have a name
I've been a fool to let it out that way
And it'll keep on coming back
A fool gets laughed at
and I'll go on and on and on
Letting it out when the feeling's strong
I wonder who in the single thing
Made this night and this ugly dreams
These all pass away
It is clear that one can see through a day
And i may have met my match
Completely unattached
with no one no one no one
on whom to rely
Let's sing that song
well I didn't read the last page
You thought of me at that final stage
eenie meenie miny moe
It's about time
About time to go
I've been a fool to let it out that way
And it'll keep on coming back
A fool gets laughed at
and I'll go on and on and on
Letting it out when the feeling's strong
I wonder who in the single thing
Made this night and this ugly dreams
These all pass away
It is clear that one can see through a day
And i may have met my match
Completely unattached
with no one no one no one
on whom to rely
Let's sing that song
well I didn't read the last page
You thought of me at that final stage
eenie meenie miny moe
It's about time
About time to go

i think that towards the end of the song, and of course i could be wrong, its about someone dying. someone being alone, having no one, and remebering a good time they shared with someone. and them writing, telling that person that they were thinking of them at the final stage. then its time for them to go. if i am incorrect, then give me another insight to think apon. this song is so good and i couldn't believe it wasnt posted before.
well, the words of this song took on a different meaning for me...I think this is john talking about letting go of things that hold you back in life. I think is starts in the first half has someone who has trouble letting go of things that held him back. And then when the drums and other instruments come in, he is saying he knows he has to let go.
"And it'll keep on coming back / A fool gets laughed at" Unable to let go of whats holding you back. "These all pass away /It is clear that one can see through a day". Nothing is finite / you know whats right and what has to be done. "eenie meenie miny moe" Refering to deciding wether or not to let go of whats holding you back.
I think that this song is about John's opennes about the ,,spirits,, in '99. As he was excited to come back to life and had no problem to share his experiences from last years, but later on, he did regreted being So open about it.
