The Frozen Lyrics
The girls on the streets all look sad in this golden crested little town.
Why is that?
Isn’t this the town of dreams?
Yeah, but it comes with a price.
It’s a town that never does anything and yet it takes all the credit.
A place that promises so much, but never has a thing to say, or a care in the world.
There’s no memory here.
No dream for itself but the dreams of others.
And all over the world you talk about a place you’ve only seen in re-runs. Immortalized for its’ vice and deified for its’ carnage.
There’s money in the air there, all you have to do is reach up and grab it.
In basements, garages, parking lots, empty lots, school yards, town cars, back rooms and more; Diamonds are fashion from expectations and fortified on a steady diet of simple lives and red carpets.
The ejaculating zeitgeist and night vision.
Culture is a punch line, an emotionist blood in the water.
The sharks here play games you can’t fathom.
But you flock here anyway.
On college money and credit cards.
Spend a week bullshitting yourself that it was all true, all of it, just to watch in horror as it all falls to pieces under the gravity of reality.
The starry eyes fade as it dawns on you; nothing is guaranteed.
You were part of the great divide; the chosen, or the frozen.
Now you’re miles away without a net. Your college money is a collage of debt and your credit cards are all snapped in fucking half.
Time to wander a landscape bereft of mercy.
This is now the back lot of your failed movie, a waking dream re-written without your permission.
The real luster, the soft focus, the soap-opera vision is just the hindsight of a world who’s been lied to, of sad surfs, and untouchable lords.
You took a chance didn’t you?
But chance didn’t have a part for you this time around, maybe next life.
And you can’t even walk home.
The girls on the streets all look sad in this cardboard, cut out little town.
No wonder.
That’s the only thing here that’s real.
The gold is for fools, and paradise is lost but the hungry have never bothered with the cost.
Day by day they fall away like rose petals, like ink that won’t dry or fade. It just runs wild down cracks and crevasses, grooves and folds.
So I hope someone saves you before you get cold.
I really do.
Because the girls are all sad in this little black book.
If you don’t believe me, take a closer look.
If you can.

This song was an added bonus track to those who purchased the album through Itunes. It's like Omega, Corey just speaks it out. My take on this is that it is about Hollywood.
is this only available through itunes?
i think so. But you don't have to buy the entire album. You can buy the song by itself.
hey theinhale227 i recently bought the cd and uploaded it through itunes and it didnt add the bonus tracks... if its at all possible could you please send "The Frozen" to BAMF_Xero@yahoo.com? thanks
You have to actually buy it on ITUNES. The actual CD doesnt have the bonus tracks...
To all those that have posted comments on this song, I feel that Corey is making a satire about young people who spend all their money in places that have been glorified by Hollywood and television. As he states, many credit card sharks hang out at those places and make these young people with debt to their name. Tell me what you think.
That is a good theory, mine is somewhat of the same. But I think it is just about hollywood and the "image" of hollywood in general.
The glorified image of hollywood is shown to us each and everyday. Whether is is TV, Movies, Clothing, Etc. I feel he is talking about the fact how young and naive people dream of going to hollywood to become "Famous" to "live the dream life".
In Hollywood, it is very expensive to even try to get in the business. If you are at all serious about it, you better been in some time of theater program before, you need to have a shitload of $$$ for an agent. And You even have to find one that is willing to represent you, not to mention the cost of living over there.
most people that go to L.A. for this "Dream" usually don't make it. They end up run and dry with all there money spent trying for something they took a chance to get.
And most of these people are women, or "girls" like he says in this. You see it all the time.. "What do you do for a living?" "Oh, I'm an actress." or "I'm an expiring actress" Blah blah blah..
Most of them get shot down in the very beginning..."The girls on the streets all look sad in this cardboard cut out little town"
Mix this with your meaning, sigmund.. I think we got the message pretty clear.
Hey Inhale. I actually had more time to listen to the song. I happen to agree with your reasoning also. Many young people, girls especially, dream of the day that they become famous and a hot topic among teens. However, their dreams are shot down by agents, perhaps agents that make them spend every dollar they have from their college money and credit cards. Keep me notified on what you think. I'll check back in a few
