I Just Love You

i can only think what i would go through if my daughter said this to me while i was on the road. my girlfriend called and said it to me while i was on tour once and it hit me like a wreckingball. you never know what life will bring to you. this album has changed me.

At first i thought this was just talking about a wife of a girlfriend, but then once it gets to that all important line i thought it was so sweet. little girls really do think their dad is a super hero when their little. it changes over time but there's no one a girl loves more than her dad when she's young

see i know this is about his daughter but i can take it from a romantic relationship standpoint too. it could be like he's trying to leave her but she tells him just how much she loves him and he realizes how much he loves her.

i love this song - it's cleasrly about his 4 year old daughter and his relationship with her - like the whole album being about parent/child bonds, hence the album title 'Two Lights'

Love this song - thought I'd find a typical (yet lovely, cos Ondrasik's just a genius...!) love song, but when that "I'll never stop being amazed how my 4-year-old girl knows exactly what to say" bit came on, I was blown away! I remember how I saw my dad when I was that age...and things eventually change so, so much...I don't know - but anyway, this song simply gets to me. Absolutely beautiful.

This song is about an actual phone conversation that he had with his dauter Olivia.

I had listened to this song the first time and Loved it immediately, every few months I come here and love the opinions, every song could have a different meaning for every individual, that's the great thing about music and especially Writers like John Ondrasik are very special, My originally thought beautiful, on patrol in The Middle East, and a call from girlfriend or wife, when it finally hit me I listened to it 4/5/6 times, few songs make me cry or tear, this touched me deeply as I Support MARSOC ( Marine Special Operations Command) it more commonly known as "Recon" (restructuring of departments at the Pentagon and Stolen Valor and Military Canines being classified as Equipment) these were only 2 of 1000 reasons these changes were made, I have over 5000+ Google followers, several of us spend hours with these Brave men and women when Authorization, Security and timing in sync, its Rare though as most of the personnel chose this M.O.S. (Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) is....... A choice, many struggle with as the service asks much and they're Superior Officer's, Trainers, Chaplains, make sure they understand and Eyes Wide Open, Facts 1, 20% are not married or can remain in relationship, 2, These are the Best Our Military has, similar to Navy Seals Teams, The Army's Rangers, 3, Most spend 300+ days Deployed, the other 65days a year when they do see Family their own Mother's, Fathers, Siblings or friends at home they cannot discuss even the smallest details of where they've been what their orders were, location, what their Objectives were, All signed Binding Non Disclosure Agreements along with Additional Special Oaths, They give ALL for love of Country and in the Context of the line from his little girl, 4 year old daughter " when are you coming home ?" The reply is "I'm coming home soon" You can feel the emotion as the Fathers voice (John Ondraik) knows how high the percentage of Personnel in his MOS are KIA, it makes me cry every time I hear it, Absolutely Beautiful, John Ondrasik is gifted Artist, his Support in all of the Middle Eastern Conflicts, the percentage of songs written in support and donating All profits, Clearly was a gift from God, i referred many to listen for John's work and his contribution has been compared with Bob Hope's, Lucille Ball, Bing Crosby, Etc...

Thank You John, you're work/songs saved lives, as these Brave Men and Women knew after listening to your Songs, knew they were not alone, their determination became renewed.
