Behind a Serrated Grin Lyrics
What you pray for, a maimed savior,
Bathed in rancor to punish their behavior
Institution of persecution
One solution to start from a clean slate
He doesn't say that he will save us
Behind a serrated grin, he fails to hide his serrated grin
nominie dei nostri satanas luciferi exelci
Bathed in rancor to punish their behavior
Institution of persecution
One solution to start from a clean slate
He doesn't say that he will save us
Behind a serrated grin, he fails to hide his serrated grin
nominie dei nostri satanas luciferi exelci

this song is so extreme and awesome
the above lyrics are missing the most important line in the song... all of the lyrics are sung very distorted, but then the most profound line comes and it is in a very distinct and important sounding voice "He says that we knew we'd save ourselves"
that part of the song is just so profoundly intriguing!!
the 'latin' satanic chanting is really catchy but I wonder how it fits ith the rest of the song?
I am still totally wondering about the whole 'serrated grin' concept.... anyone have any ideas?
Well...if you dont know the meaning of "Behind a serrated grin" the song might not make sense at all. Serrated means "like teeth of saw: edged with notches or with projections resembling the teeth of a saw" so if its a "Serrated Grin" than that means "evil grin" or something like that [if you get what im saying]. as for the latin..."evil" again =). listen to the song again and you'll get exactly what I mean and th whole song will make sense.
All in all, I effin love this song alot great band, great song
The actual line is:
Nomine Dei Nostri Satanas, Luciferi Excelsi
It's an invocation to Satanic rituals.
Pure 'ungodly' work by Psyclon Nine. I love it! Love the ending as well. Really brings out their work. This song along with all their others, is just completely amazing. The new age of black industrial metal, is Psyclon Nine!
really does bring light into the eyes of the "innocen" that god doesn't want us and god doesn't love us.
i think the entire song could be viewed as symbolic and portraying the theme of corruption of the church and the ending line is somewhat of a sarcastic retort to invoke anger and offense to christians.........perhaps.
