Youv'e been living life like its a sequel
And your already bored with the plot
As if the cast and the score are more money than before
But the script in the back drops are stock

We've got the rest of our lives to regret all the words that were said
here tonight but ill bet
That the morning in the morning we'll find us in bloom

So c'mon, c'mon,c'mon
Lets not be our parents
Oh, c'mon, c'mon,c'mon
Lets follow this through
Oh, c'mon,c'mon, c'mon
Everythings waiting
We will rise with the wings of the dawn
When everythings new (2x)

Let us rise up with the summer sun
Let these songs awake in the dawn
Let us breathe every breathe, like a gift to be kept
Let us breathe it all in till its gone

We've got the rest of our lives to live out all these dreams
we stayed up tonight talkin about

In the morning, to start hopin would not be to soon

Oh C'mon, c'mon, c'mon
Lets abandon this darkness
oh c'mon, c'mon, c'mon
Lets follow this through
Ah so c'mon, c'mon,c'mon
We'll be lit up like fire and gold
When everythings new (6x)

I think it's a song about starting over. Whether in life, in a relationship, in whatever. Basically saying there's always time to start again. Really nice song.

Gadjits, The
He reuses the verse melody from the previous album's "Dirty Little Religion", the topics of the verses are all over the place, and he packs too many words into one line (goes to show...) and too few in another (it's pretty hard to find), and rhymes "Henley Regatta" with "Persona non grata", but gets away with it all as only he could.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Holiday
Bee Gees
@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday". I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
