Switchfoot was formed in the 1990s by brothers Jon Foreman (Guitar, Lead Vocals) and Tim Foreman (Bass, BGVs), and their friend Chad Butler (Drums). Since this time, they have added Jerome Fontamillas (Keyboards, BGVs), and Drew Shirley (Guitar, BGVs). The band has released 9 studio albums: The Legend of Chin (1997), New Way To Be Human (1999), Learning to Breathe (2000), The Beautiful Letdown (2003), Nothing Is Sound (2005), Oh! Gravity (2006), Hello Hurricane (2009), Vice Verses (2011), and Fading West (2014). Although they were originally in the Christian music market, they have since branched into the mainstream and continues to find success in both areas. Their hit songs include Dare You To Move, Stars, Oh! Gravity, Mess of Me, and Dark Horses.
