this song is about the comfort of God and what you find in him. you find who you should be and who the person you really are. the want to understand who God is fully cant come just yet so there s this endless thirst for more and you just keep racking your brain over it. but you decide to follow him forever because he is so giving of love and grace. the line "Comfort is never absent from the need" is saying within your journey with God there is comfort with every step if you summit to him
