This song is set well after Christ-0 has escaped from jail. It signifies his descent into madness; fueled by nothing but hatred and revenge, his alter ego '0' overwhelms his consciousness once more.
His 'private picture dome' refers to the collection of old horror movies he has, his only companionship. The booklet that comes with the CD describes that here, he "sees the ghosts of the movie characters and finds he can join them in their world, becoming a shadow of himself and melding into the darkness that is no longer just a hiding place, but his home."
X doesn't make an appearance in this song, but he does in the next (Shadow I Am), in which he explores the theme of shadows.
