I can't believe that nobody knows about this band. They have such a versatile sound and every single song sounds different. I think they could get huge....

yeah man, i've known about them for a while. i think they are awesome.
I'm so glad I heard them when our local radio station played them. I don't know what I would do without Street to Nowhere.
As for the song, Dave refers to his brother once, and he seems to be an important person in the Street to Nowhere songs. (see "They're Not Like Us")
Dave is also known for his love to play the acoustic guitar whenever he gets the chance, rather than his electric. Maybe by saying "no acoustic sound" and "a new set of lungs", he means the band is straying away from their roots to make the crowd love them. After all, they're not very well known, and they were recently signed by Capital... even though that was like a year ago. (I liked them even when they were an independent artist.)
