In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida (Iron Butterfly cover) Lyrics
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, baby,
don't you know that I wants you?
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, honey
don't you know that I'll always be true?
Oh, won't you come with me
and take my hand?
Oh, won't you come with me
and walk this land?
Please take my hand!
(Repeats 3 times)
don't you know that I wants you?
In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, honey
don't you know that I'll always be true?
and take my hand?
and walk this land?

Great cover. I believe this song was on the Less than Zero soundtrack
The original is 17 minutes and not that good anyway. Slayer just crammed it into 3 minutes and managed to make it cool. I love how this love song is sang/sung in such a violent tone of voice. One of my favorite covers of all time. My favorite Slayer cover counting Undisputed Attitude. And for the record, I don't judge a song on length, The Mars Volta and Tool are a couple examples.
Iron Butterfly tune........In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida means 'In the Garden of Eden'
Peachila, this lyrics are the ones Slayer do for the cover version.
They changed the line of "Dont you know that I love you? " to "don't you know that I wants you?".
Kerry King himself called this this song "A hunk of shit and the worst thing we've ever done." I agree.
Same here, I don't even have this song...
The second line is actually "Dont you know that I love you? "
This song has one of the best solos of all time.
but not by slayer, by Iron Butterfly the original.
