I wish I had a cool brother like Andrew to write me songs.
it was said in an interview he did with I think MTV.com. I'm sure it'll be a song he'll play between projects. I just like the fact he's got a sister named Katie. It's not everyday one of my favorite artists writes a song for his sister who shares my name. :) his sister Katie is now a household name, thanks to Andrew's immortialization of her in these lyrics. An amazing man, an amazing song, an amazing story.... The lyrical prowess this man posesses is infinate, and this song is just another example.

@popbaby1 Nah, he wrote this after he had started performing under Jack's, but I don't think it was technically released as a Jack's Mannequin song. Just happened to be the band her was performing as at that time.

Definately not a SoCo song; it was written for Andrews sister after she was a positive donor for his bone marrow transplant as sort of a thank you
it is a soco song though; i heard its part of the new soco material he's been writing

I guess it would technically just be an Andrew Mcmahon song, but Jack's Mannequin was the name/band he was performing under at the time so that probably why it is classified that way.

As Ototman14 said, it's brutal but beautiful. I heard this song last night at the show and...man. It's breathtaking. The way he sings it and the meaning pouring out of the music is enough to make a person shed a tear. hah.
