I think he means that when he's a big mess (caught in bad weather in his Volkswagen Jetta) God can make him feel like a complete work of art. You see, Volkswagen Jettas are extremely nice cars, and nobody wants to be caught in bad weather in a nice car like this- and he says that even when he is in a situation like this- he can still feel like a complete work of art. Get it??

What I feel is that the singer is praising God for everything that happens, even when he is experiencing bad times. Biblically, God is frequently compared as a Potter that shapes clay, so I am presuming this is the intended meaning here, that God has done a good job shaping the life of this guy. This guy acknowledges God is awesome and he has done a good job in him - hence, a Nice Piece of Art.

nah, i have the cd and the leaflet inside says it is volkswagon jetta, u can hear it if u rly try as for what it means, i adore this song i see it as like, even when youre a mess, this person makes u feel beautiful, like a lavender sweater or artwork
