Q&A
Pathetic, ordinary Lyrics
she haunts me in dreams
I see her silhouette dance across landscapes of golden light and autumn
...in my dreams...
her soft eyes see through my tortured soul vanishing any hope for fantasy
the things I'd give, to prove myself to her, to make her see...
jaded eyes awake as her selfish words rain from such placid lips
still I kiss her silken flesh
frigid air leaves me breathless
foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her
I confess...I scare myself
through the howling wind, on my knees, I cry...listen to me...
I'm broken by her silence to a love unseen blood soaked feathers rain down my wingless angel so broken falls gracefully from the sky to waiting arms...to waiting arms...
frigid air leaves me breathless
foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her
I confess...I scare myself and you're my fault through the howling wind, on my knees, I cry...listen to me...
such foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her jaded eyes wake to the sounds of my voice as I scream for her
in dreams I've seen her silhouette dance across golden light and autumn... in my dreams...
skies so burdened let her go...as cold rain falls, so does she my desires wither, broken once more
soft hands take one so fair
...she haunts me...
I see her silhouette dance across landscapes of golden light and autumn
...in my dreams...
the things I'd give, to prove myself to her, to make her see...
still I kiss her silken flesh
foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her
I confess...I scare myself
through the howling wind, on my knees, I cry...listen to me...
foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her
I confess...I scare myself and you're my fault through the howling wind, on my knees, I cry...listen to me...
in dreams I've seen her silhouette dance across golden light and autumn... in my dreams...
soft hands take one so fair

I think that they arent in a relation. "I'm broken by her silence to a love unseen"
He desires her and he cant think about anything else like her.
"she haunts me in dreams"
Important is that in the first lines he speaks in present
"I see her silhouette dance across landscapes of golden light and autumn"
after he realizes that she isnt worth all his sorrow he speaks in past
"In dreams I've seen her silhouette dance across golden light and autumn."
The climax of the song are the linies with the angel without wings. She falls down and is waiting for arms. But he will not longer catch her.
The myth with Hades and persephone is my opinion too. good work.
(excuse my english , im from germany)
Goin along with the albums theme of greek mythology, i think this is about the story of HAdes' lust for Persephone, daughter of Demeter (correct me if im wrong. However, she does not care for him, and she is "forbidden" to him. It talks about autumn in the song, which is the purpose of this myth, to describe the seasons.
Agreed. That's most likely what it is

Most definitely.
Most definitely.
I believe this song is about a man who dreams about the perfect girl, but eventually the dreams become true and he sees her. Judging by references to Autumn, this is the season the song takes place in.
"she haunts me in dreams I see her silhouette dance across landscapes of golden light and autumn ...in my dreams..."
The "perfect" girl finds out that the man loves her, but is waiting for him to be a man to tell her about his love.
"her soft eyes see through my tortured soul vanishing any hope for fantasy the things I'd give, to prove myself to her, to make her see... jaded eyes awake as her selfish words rain from such placid lips still I kiss her silken flesh"
However, the man is too afraid to confess his love for her and ponders that maybe she will make the first move instead. He then realizes he's a fool for not confessing his love to her. Had he have been with her things may of been different and she may have been still alive.
"I'm broken by her silence to a love unseen blood soaked feathers rain down my wingless angel so broken falls gracefully from the sky to waiting arms...to waiting arms... The season flows by to the time of winter and the woman falls ill from the cold grip of the new season. The man has yet to tell her he loves her and right before he gathers his courage to finally tell her; she succumbs to her illness and dies.
"frigid air leaves me breathless foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her I confess...I scare myself and you're my fault through the howling wind, on my knees, I cry...listen to me...
such foolish agony fills my lungs as I try to scream for her jaded eyes wake to the sounds of my voice as I scream for her in dreams I've seen her silhouette dance across golden light and autumn... in my dreams...
skies so burdened let her go...as cold rain falls, so does she my desires wither, broken once more soft hands take one so fair ...she haunts me..."
i think that everyone who thinks this is about a guy liking a girl from a mortal point of view is wrong. i believe its about more greek mythology. which is very very interesting
But which myth? That is the question.

The myth is Persephone,and Hades.

this is about a guy who has fallen in love with a girl, and either he cant have her or she doesnt know.
"her soft eyes see through my tortured soul vanishing any hope for fantasy" that part of the song means that when she looks at her, his pain is gone? i suppose..
"jaded eyes awake as her selfish words rain from such placid lips still I kiss her silken flesh" he will love her no matter what.
"I'm broken by her silence to a love unseen blood soaked feathers rain down my wingless angel so broken falls gracefully from the sky to waiting arms...to waiting arms..." hes waiting to catch her when she falls
