The part where they do an instrumental "if you're happy and you know it" is so lame. The rest of the record is awesome, and I can handle some of the cheesy stuff, like "Guess What", but this is just to much.
You completely miss the point of it. Dean's reminiscing, sarcastically about growing up. It's supposed to be a type of fantasy like "meeting your parents and finding out all of this stuff should make you happy." But it didn't. It's an awesome use of sarcasm.
