Leave You Behind Lyrics
I wonder how you looked
the day you were erased
look down at your heart and watch it fade
did you disappear
or were you just misplaced
left behind with no one else to blame
it's all
(are you letting go?)
gone
(thinking clearer now that it's over)
but something lingers on
(there's no one to blame)
a place I used to call
home
(as we walk away)
now
(why is it I just feel so heavy?)
me, you, and the ghost
(what do I take away?)
looking for thing we lost
when you're in the room
it's all that I can feel
get so used to loving what's not real
there's nothing I can hold,
no real tears to cry
you can't breathe life back into a lie
it's all
(are you letting go?)
gone
(thinking clearer now that it's over)
but something lingers on
(there's no one to blame)
a place I used to call
home
(as we walk away)
now
(why is it I just feel so heavy?)
you, me, and the ghost
(what do I take away?)
laughing
there's nothing left for you to need (ooh ooh ooh)
there's nothing left for you to lose (ooh ooh ooh)
there's nothing left for you to lose
it's all
(are you letting go?)
gone
(thinking clearer now that it's over)
but something lingers on
(there's no one to blame)
a place I used to call

this song is amazingggggggg
When you were living with illusion of someone you wanted that person to be ("get so used to loving what's not real", "you can't breathe life back into a lie", "are you letting go?"), but she/he turned out to be different. That moment when you're parting, you left with nothing ("there's nothing left for you to lose") and though you're beginning to realize you were living lies ("thinking clearer now that it's over", "you, me, and the ghost"), you still miss that feeling you had ("but something lingers on / a place I used to call / home", "looking for the one we lost").
I'd like to think that it could be taken as a break up, or a death of someone that they loved greatly...
I don't know, this song confuses me slightly.
