I love this b/c it illustrates with most appropriate metaphor how people delude themselves into thinking that if they can just find "the one," everything will be idyllic. Oh, who the hell am I kidding? I'm bordering on being one of those people, which is why I'm still single. Oh well...
Real life is more than just two hours long. That is certainly an indicator of the problem with things like wanting to be in love like the movies. You simply can't imagine the future of a relationship or the course of an event because capturing the fights, the problems, the details, the nuances, the ups and downs; well its just not something that can be realized. But people get focused on what they do imagine, which is often just the best possible actions or even just the best parts of an action and end up disappointed.
We can't be in love like the movies because our love is real.
