Man, I love this song. I don't know what SSS stands for, but I kinda get what the song's about, even if I'm unable to articulate it at the moment.
each verse shows a different side of love - or, if you'd like to interpret it that way, it could be three stages of the progression of love. to heartbreak and then being worn out.
the three S's are also (not officially confirmed but speculated and very plausible!) representative of the three who perhaps wrote each verse, or influenced/inspired each verse.
SSS = Scott, Seth, and Sean
(Sean being probably the person Scott refers to in an interview: "A friend of mine growing up, Sean, he was the hardest-working farmer.")
