This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines:
"Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet"
So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other:
"I had all and then most of you"
Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart
"Some and now none of you"
Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship.
This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"
is there a hole in your heart
or am i mistaken
i can see your capillary veins
you be the patient i'll be the surgeon
just like 1st grade on the playground all day
soon enough you'll hear the black top calling for you
after that there is not much else you can do
have you forgotten your place
I'm being sarcastic
that shit could kill a bus of kids
we have a good thing
she is a bad thing
why would she want to break us
who would want to break us
soon enough you'll hear the black top calling your name
every day your life will never be the same
i am a pirate you are a princess
we could sail the seven seas
bring back some presents
for all the people
everyone will love us even courtney will love us
or am i mistaken
i can see your capillary veins
you be the patient i'll be the surgeon
just like 1st grade on the playground all day
soon enough you'll hear the black top calling for you
after that there is not much else you can do
have you forgotten your place
I'm being sarcastic
that shit could kill a bus of kids
we have a good thing
she is a bad thing
why would she want to break us
who would want to break us
soon enough you'll hear the black top calling your name
every day your life will never be the same
i am a pirate you are a princess
we could sail the seven seas
bring back some presents
for all the people
everyone will love us even courtney will love us

Hayalperest
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere.
In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
Holiday

@[Diderik:33655] "Your a holiday!" Was a popular term used in the 50s/60s to compliment someone on their all around. For example, not only are they beautiful, but they are fun and kind too ... just an all around "holiday".
I think your first comment is closer to being accurate. The singer/song writers state "Millions of eyes can see, yet why am i so blind!? When the someone else is me, its unkind its unkind". I believe hes referring to the girl toying with him and using him. He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy. But he knows deep down that she doesnt really want to be serious with him and thats what makes him.
Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

This song is pretty. I think this song is about a young love, but its going through a rough patch, and he just wants to get away from everyone and for for him and his love to be able to get away from everyone, or just everyone to accept their love.
xx
Like Wrightly said, This song is about young love. But the only problem is that they are going through some stuff. He wants to just be with his love and spend the rest of his life with her.
Nothing can come betwine two lovers.
No..it's about how him and like madi can get together because in reality she didn't want to be with dan because he was two years younger...and courtney is his ex and she wanted him to be happy.
"Is there a hole in your heart? Or am I mistaken" my favourite line. i love this band. 'nuff said.
this song is GORGEOUS. i think its about young love like everyone has been saying, but not only that. it is about courtney trying to break them apart, but their love is strong enough to withstand it. so they go and "sail the seven seas" see the world together, away from everyone, and then when they get back, they show them they are perfect for eachother, by bringing "presents" everyone will then leave them alone, even courtney, the one that tried to break them
i think that it means that their like going out and nobody wants them to be together but they just love each other
and want to be with eachother "just like 1st grade on the playground all day" i think that means just like when they were young they could be together and just be with eachother
without anyone judging or saying anything to them
p.s- i think courtney hates them =D
Haha, I thought it was just kind of a cheesy line as in Everyone will love us, even Courtney (Love) will love us. Hahaha.
my boyfriend played me this song today. it's funny because my roommates name is courtney.
This song is about young love with many problems in the relationship. She has a drug addiction, and the Ex(courtney) Is attempting to break them up,While he just want's To be with his love and make all the problems go away. Almost every song I've heard from play radio play has something to do with drug addiction, and attempting to combat it.
