Time Of Dying Lyrics

On the ground I lay
Motionless in pain
I can see my life flashing before my eyes
Did I fall asleep?
Is this all a dream?
Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare

I will not die (I will not die)
I will survive

I will not die, I'll wait here for you
I feel alive, when you're beside me
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
In my time of dying

On this bed I lay
Losing everything
I can see my life passing me by
Was it all too much?
Or just not enough?
Wake me up, I'm living a nightmare

I will not die (I will not die)
I will survive

I will not die, I'll wait here for you
I feel alive, when you're beside me
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
In my time of dying

I will not die, I'll wait here for you
I feel alive, when you're beside me
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
In my time of dying
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
I feel alive, when you're beside me
I will not die, I'll wait here for you
In my time of dying

This is a very powerful song in my opinion and i think it can relate to a lot of things for different people. Personally this reminds me of someone who is either struggling either physically or emotionally. This person has made up his/her mind that they will not give up their fight and "die" and that they won't be defeated and will always come back even when there is no hope left, in that regard it's alomst a motivational song for the everyday man/woman. It also can be describing some one who feels that they will live on because of...

I'm pretty sure this song is about allowing yourself to think that death is the answer in the most worst situations that seem like they can never be fixed. although, the lyrics are clearly directed towards someone that truly cares about the victim and loves them. this song could refer to one person actually making a difference in the victims life. that the person gives the victim a reason to push on and keep living. the victim feels like he's dying but when he's with the person who cares and loves them they feel alive and no they cant die as long as that person stays with them. reminds me of a friend that saved me from my own death. amazing song. played it 5987 on my ipod.

My Interpretation

I compare this song to that story with the lady waiting for her husband to return to her. It's almost the same, but the man singing is waiting for somebody instead, and he is nearing death. But once that special person is with him, he can finally rest.

@XoceDeos thats my bf told me, he told me this songs is for me and him

ah!!!!!!!!!! well this song is so special to me because one of my BFFS (and the guy i plan to marry) got into an accident with his horse(it bucked him off a 13' cliff and then fell down the cliff and landed on top of him) so i listened to it the entire time he was in the hospital because it made me think of how he might be feeling and what he was going through but i begged for a miricale and guess what??? a week after the accident, he got out and he was almost completely healed from a fractured pelvis, torn kidney, and a lot of other bad stuff!!

I think this song is kind of like someone who feels like the world is just a big nightmare and nothing is right 'till they meet someone who makes them see there might be some good in the world, something to live for, but thats just how I see it.

This song is about a guy whose death awaits him but made a vow to never leave until the girl comes to him. Life is changing for him because he is probably going to die of sickness or pain. He will not die until they are able to bound together and live life as the fullest before passing on to the next world.

This is such an amazing song off an amazing album. I love every song on it, but Time of Dying is my favorite. I think it means that he's dying and waiting for someone to save him. When that person is with him, he feels alive. That person is his one reason to hold on to life.
