Man. I can't believe I'm only just hearing this song...
This song is so amazing.
So if I am reading this right I believe the song is about a girl that got raped and it was horrific. The later one of her male friends is trying to keep her from just sinking deeper into depression and trying to get her to sort of rejoin society. He then goes to comfort her by saying something like "Everyone hates the guy, we promise we feel as strongly as you do" with the lines
"And I never claimed to understand What happens after dark But my fingers catch sparks at the thought of touching you When you're wounded"
And then the next part is about her sort of feeling attractive again and everyone is rooting for her because as far as I know, rape victims don't feel attractive after the event. So the group of friends tells her to
"Well you're walkin' round shaking that thing all day And then you walk on baby walk on You walk on"
