Another day, another knife in the back
It's happened so many times, I stopped tryin to keep track
You're stuck stickin' it in, you're stuck stickin' it in
Take it up to the hilt to cover up your own fuckin' guilt
And when the shit goes down you're out of places to hide
No time to ask could the motherfucker really survive
Get a load of this fuck, he's the dead guy
It's just a natural ? you never fuckin' possessed
You lost control of my life you want control of the rest
You're always stickin' it in, you're always stickin' it in
You stuck it so many times you .... .... ....
But when the shit comes down you're out of places to hide
Time to ask if you're alive or just pretend that you died
Just remember this fuck, I'm the dead guy
I'm the dead guy
Dead guy

It's reverse psychology of the stabber and the victim that's being stabbed. Basically, it boils down that the victim who is or isn't dead doesn't match the criminal's act and mind of beng "dead." As in, the criminal is dead inside.
I always thought it was just a big F.U. to backstabbers and other two-faced asshats, not criminal stabbings. Although that also makes sense.
I agree, Havana, I don't think this album gets enough credit. It's still in constant rotation on my playlists and I brought this back in '97 after a friend recommended it.
Holy jesus fucking Christ, this song is making my neck hurt! This and the rest of the album is SOOOO underrated and UNBELIEVABLY HEAVY! I fucking love it.
I don't really understand this song, so I'm just going to agree with you broomachine, because what you said actually makes sense.
I expect it's about heroin. Al Jourgensen was a long time heroin user. Think about the lyrics:
"You lost control of my life you want control of the rest You're always stickin' it in, you're always stickin' it in You stuck it so many times you .... .... ...."
It seems like it was written by a band member who was screwed over every time Al used heroin. It not only destroys the life of the user, but close friends and family as well.
