Arrival In Utopia Lyrics

We dreamed of golden shining towers
Of lazy days and thrilling hours
Fields of wonder, streets so fair
Of amber ships which sailed, through the air

Dreamed of steel and glass and wire
Of days of wine and nights of fire
Dreamt of dogs that talked like boys
Of girls who flew, of unnamed joys

And now our dreams are true
We don't know what to do
For we don't like it here
There's nothing for us to fear
Bored mindless in Utopia

Cover art for Arrival In Utopia lyrics by Hawkwind

sorry but these lyrics are all off. okus this is technically by space ritual but i suppose it can go under HW

here are the complete lyrics:

We dreamed of golden shining towers of lazy days and thrilling hours of Fields of wonder, streets so fair of amber ships which sailed, through the-air

And now we see its true we don’t know what to do and we don’t want it now we're here and now our dreams are true we don’t know what to do we'll never know what to do

We Dreamed of steel and glass and wire of days of wine and nights of fire we Dreamt of dogs, that talked like boys of girls who flew of unnamed joys

But when we dreamed, we always knew that if our dreams came true we wouldn’t know what to do

We're sitting in utopia, Don’t like it now were here, We hate it now were here

We dreamed of prizes, dreamed of goals dreamed of deeds and fixed on roles we've driven to utopia, and we don’t like it now were here our dream at last reality, but reality is you and me it's individuality

We're sitting in utopia, but were mindless now were here we hate it now were here reality is you and me, utopia is you and me it's individuality (it's individuality) it's individuality (it's individuality) it's individuality (it's individuality)

also i think it speaks for its self but the song literally points out to some kind of "distant future" where mankind has worked its way through time, learnt all possible lessons/traveled space and have created/found the world of "Utopia", and the song goes on to explain how we wish we could have goals and in essence "a reason to exist". very good song this, im always playing it ;)

Lyric Correction

Thanks for the lyrics, thehiddenmeaning. Hard to find. To me the song denies the silly static concept of utopia, a heavenlike endstate, which is really just wishful thinking by those who have problems accepting the constant change we are all experiencing.
