For those who don't speak French, "roche" is rock in English. It is also the name of a Pharmaceuticals comapny, based in the UK I believe.
This song is pure Numan. The sense of longing to belong, yet feeling alienated and disconnected is quite evident.
"Here am I more roche five than pain" - the reference to Roche here is to the pharnaceuticals company - in particular to the "Roche Five Milligram Valium Tablet".
