The Stories Are True Lyrics
Criminals killed kings, so which one's the better?
Come on now, open your suicide letter
Lying on the floor, you're thinking you're dead
But you wanna live life and do it instead
You gotta understand how to be true
It's out with the old and in with the new
You gotta do it now, and you don't wanna go
Come on now, life is your show
Come on now, let it go
Everything that you know
Step aside, let it ride
We're turning the tide
It's out with the old
And in with the new
Step aside
The stories are true
Blast 'em just like a shotgun
Back down never to no one
Understand exactly where I come from
Take me into the action
These are stories that are true, no lie
Days of destruction, you wonder why
I'm a punk rocker til the day I die
Days come and days go, life's gonna pass by
Affiliations everywhere I go
London, New York, LA, Tokyo
This world is the world I know
A world of no rules, nowhere I won't go
Let me open up the door for you
Let you into a whole new world for you
You see you never know
Where you'll end up tomorrow
Come on now, let it go
Everything that you know
Step aside, let it ride
We're turning the tide
It's out with the old
And in with the new
Step aside
The stories are true
The next thing you know, the victim that was beaten
Was the same person you thought was undefeated
Lying there, next in the line
Sometimes kid, you gotta do your time
Think about the fall and what you did wrong
Before you can move along
You gotta do it now, you gotta know
Come on now, life is your show
Come on now, let it go
Everything that you know
Step aside, let it ride
We're turning the tide
It's out with the old

You're forgetting the message in the song, StillNotDead. He's obviously trying to help someone who is presumably suicidal, hence the second verse. Also, he speaks of something bad that happened, given in the verse, "Think about the fall and what you did wrong, before you can move along." To me it just sounds like he's helping a friend see how enjoyable life can really be if you just loosen up and stop stressing about shit. I still don't understand where the song AND album name comes from, though. It seems to me like he's just advertising his lifestyle to whomever he is trying to send this message to.
Oh yeah, these guys are the next best thing since Rancid, but I wouldn't say they are better. The only thing I've noticed they are better at is changing the pace throughout the songs, they never keep the same beat for too long, except in this song. Rancid repeats a lot of the same melodies throughout their songs, but they are still the kings of punk-rock in my eyes. After all, Tim DOES own the record company who produces their own albums AS WELL AS Time Again's, AND Time Again's biggest influences were Rancid, Operation Ivy, and the Clash. They are actually more like a younger generation Rancid, Daniel Dart almost even sounds like Tim...
kick ass duet with tim , time again another rancid fuck yea

Not just another fuckin Rancid. Better than Rancid i think. I personally think this song is about letting everything go and just having fun while you can, because, as we all know, life aint gonna be here forever.
