Face the Face Lyrics
this song is truly great the buildup the instrumental solos, the way the whole song sounds like hes just stuffing around and having a good time everything about this is fantastic...anyway meaning i think its pretty obviously about facing adversary in life (race the race = life, face the face = facing the situations thrown at us within the 'race') but thats just me...
@banga I'm having to rewrite and send my reply to your General Comment. Initially I read the lyrics several times, but they didn't make much sense. I searched for any interpretations and came up with only yours. After reading yours, I reread the lyrics again, several times. Your interpretation seems plausible and the song seems to be a metaphor for life and its ensuing circumstances. You've hit a nail, with certain scale, into the pale of ensuing flail. Kudos

While I do believe it does have to do with living and striving, I think there is something more to it like finding, facing and correcting things that are wrong either socially or morally. some of lyrics sound like bureaucratic or govt !@#$ people deciding how to pull on over on the populous (me and you) and some lyrics sound like a clever call to arms (come on people lets get to work and undo the crap that has been forced upon us) kind of like he sets up the (Pete) sets up the case (what has been done) and sets forth what we need to do "Try to place the place Where we can face the face." I think the "face" we have "to face" is adversity in the form of morally corrupt laws or practices
