i thought it was, my world is a falling around me.

but the song seems sort of obvious. like the title 'move on'. both people are trying to move on from a past relationship. He thought things were going fine and she just said something and ended it for whatever reason. and it's all about him saying how he's over it and it's time they both move on (but he's just saying that)

wow y are there like no comments? This song is amazing! i agree with musicx3...this song is all about a relationship where the guy thought everything was going smoothly and the girl just broke it off. I think it's also about that feeling when someone you thought you loved has hurt you, and every sane rational part of your being is telling u to move on. At the same time though, for some reason you just can't let go. I love the line "Today I loved someone for three years, tomorrow just let go" because it basically defines the whole song. She wants him to be able to just get over it instantly, the way she's seemed to, but to him it's just ridiculous that he can go from having so much to having nothing so quickly

i agree with the meanings already posted. and i love this song so much, because i had the cd for awhile, but last summer my boyfriend of over a year just broke it off suddenly and told me he was over it, and i was devastated. i remembered hearing this song on the cd and went back and listened, and it totally felt like it was made for me.

i know what the song is about and more importantly who.I know these guys and I'm friends with the singers ex. they were young loves and he kind of more or less,screwed up.

this song could apply to a close freindship, between a guy and a girl, gone sour
