Boogie Wonderland Lyrics

Dance boogie wonderland
dance boogie wonderland
Midnight creeps so slowly into hearts,
of men who need more than they get
daylight deals a bad hand,
to a woman who has laid too many bets

The mirror stares you in the face and says
"baby, uh uh it don't work"
you say your prayers though you don't care
you dance and shake the hurt
dance boogie wonderland
dance boogie wonderland

Sound fly through the night
I chase my vinyl dreams to boogie wonderland
I find romance when I start to dance in boogie wonderland
I find romance when I start to dance in boogie wonderland

All the love in the world can't be gone
all the need to be loved can't be wrong
All the records are playing
and my heart keeps saying
"boogie wonderland, wonderland"
dance boogie wonderland
dance boogie wonderland

All the love in the world can't be gone
all the need to be loved can't be wrong
All the records are playing
and my heart keeps saying
"boogie wonderland, wonderland"
dance boogie wonderland
dance boogie wonderland

Hahaha... for years and years I always thought the line: "the mirror stares you in the face" was: "the hero stabs you in the face"... it's why I came on to the site this morning, to see what people thought of such a dark and f-ed up lyric. Guess I was wrong!

Baisically danign troubles away, I believe. I know from experience that it helps. i also think that it is abotu trying to forget the troubles of being lonely and that the danceing makes you forget abotu it for the moment.

I thought one of the lines said "like a walnut that laid to many eggs" I guess i was wrong because it really says "to a woman who has laid to many bets"

I was sort of close.

This song is so funky that it's easy to dismiss it as nothing less than a dancing tune, but my goodness the lyrics are relatable! Instead of facing your problems, the solution it seems is to dance them away amidts the music and lights of the night life.
