Here is the true meaning:

Stephan was dating Charlize Theron, and he told her he wouldnt marry her, so she broke up with him. In the song it says "she is warming in the sun... I left her colder now". So anyway, she ended up with another guy, and he says "and the light she finds is golden, and I cant take my eyes away, but im no longer welcome, this is not my place to stay" Just shows his jealousy over the other guy, and how he wants her back. Going to sping, means that he wants her back. So this song is another song about Charlize like most of Out of the Vein, which also explains it, because this song was suppose to be on that album.!!

i know this is just a song that didnt make the Out of The Vein final cut but its amazing and i want the new album noooooooooooooooow. This song talks alot about the longing for spring/summer/sun/warmth maby its about somebody suffering from seasonal deppression and it seems he is calling out for the help of this one girl 'persephone' but it seems she wants something else and/or wont help him because she wants something else and he is left all alone by the time spring arrives 'i sit by myself, in the last light of the sun'

Firstly i want to agree with and THANK zedzedBadnusty for posting this awesome song i think its about moods and relating to weather but knowing stephan he could be relating it to something else completely This song sounds more like their old style from the first two cd's when they still had kevin (sorry he had to leave he was awesome) so it gives me some hope for the next cd :)

also i dont think he says "all the motions coming back to me" i think it is "old emotions coming back to me" at least that is how it sounded live

its great to see there are still some hardcore 3eb fans out there! i jus gotta hold of this song now n needless to say im in love with it. i think this song is about a place to where a guy has returned and is thinking about all the seasons (a year or years) spent with his x-gf. All the emotions are coming back to him and he wishes she would feel the same emotions too but she has a new light (probably a new guy) and all he can do is just sit here and think about the old days wishing she'd come back to him

Persephone is the goddess of the underworld in Greek mythology. She is the daughter of Zeus and Demeter, goddess of the harvest. Persephone was such a beautiful young woman that everyone loved her, even Hades wanted her for himself. One day, when she was collecting flowers on the plain of Enna, the earth suddenly opened and Hades rose up from the gap and abducted her. When she later ate of it, it bound her to underworld forever and she had to stay there one-third of the year. The other months she stayed with her mother. When Persephone was in Hades, Demeter refused to let anything grow and winter began. This myth is a symbol of the budding and dying of nature. In the Eleusinian mysteries, this happening was celebrated in honor of Demeter and Persephone, who was known in this cult as Kore.

This song has a deep meaning of loss and rebirth. I think hes reffering to the tragic story of persephone, how she ended up bound to the underworld part of her life. It seems like hes sad because she gone away, whomever she is; likely an ex, and he wants the spring to come to maybe bring her back, so he sits waiting, in the role of Demeter.

I always liked third eye blind, but the last year ive really started delving into their lyrics and i have to say they are awsome.
