I think the title pretty much explains it all.
This makes me think of sexual repression. Not being able to lose it (virginity) for real, so you have to lost it to your mind with fantasies. Perhaps it's a forbidden or socially unacceptable form of love like homosexuality. No one outside, no one who hasn't experienced it, really understands.
