wow this song is just amazing ! To be honest, i didn't really understand how he's talking about thinking about a girl.. then it goes to being the 'coldest night' .
i took it that he felt something for a girl. He gets extremely jealous of other guys trying after her. but i took a look at the bigger picture, i feel like he's saying "this is the coldest night" as in he feels as though he's completely unhappy and 'cold' inside because he can't get her.

he is stuck on someone, they don't want him anymore, and he is waiting for them to feel cold to, but that he cant move on, he is stuck and frozen, again and again, the person says goodbye and isnt thinking much of it (goodbye and your eyes and their rolling), but he does. there are others who he knows are near that person and he hates that they want them too. he is stuck trying to decide whether it is his fault, or whether he is right, or whether they are right, shown in the ending of the lyrics. through choppy wording, as are all good songs written, this song is wrote, to convey a deeper story that may or may not be seen, i may be totally wrong but here ya go!
