Weather Girl

Me thinks this song is about a relationship with all it's ups and downs etc...

Not so much a relationship i think. personally, i see its about a girl, so captivating whos ambitions are too great for whereever she is.

who knows. i could be wrong.

i think its partly about relationships but i also think that he likes this girl (romantically) but he still admires her determination to do stuff beyond human conception

but then i also think that something bad happens to her like maybe she builds her dreams and when she's nearly there, something happens, bringing the line "Weather girl, where's your forecast?" into it about how they missed her or how invincible she used to be but work and the general stress of life is eating her and she's not the once youthful girl and she may be fading

i also think that this girl represents something very familiar, the weather girl who you're so used to seeing on tv. then something happens and shes gone, and you realize

i think the song is talking about a person who has like forgotten their roots and is sort of rejecting everyone who cares about her because she thinks shes better than them because of some fortune in her life, such as getting on television or something...

Yeah. It sounds like she lost a best friend. I think almost anyone can relate to this one in a way.

She wants to be great, to do something to make a name for herself. She wants to be at the top. And even though she has her work, she knows how to have fun at the same time, hence "Dancing late at night." Then, I think she just gives up, gets caught up in city life, nightlife to be exact. I think she gets caught up in drugs and other acts. She was friends with someone, a familiar, friendly face that one day just disappears. Maybe it's the drugs, or maybe even something like AIDS, "Falling faster than the start Of the end of the world," spiraling downward faster than ever. And I think she dies. "Where did you go?"

But at some point, I also think that she wanted help. "Girlfriend I really need you Don’t go, don't go." She asked for his help, but he couldn't do anything to help her. Possibly they used to date, she being the girlfriend, but he left her because she was doing things he thought were wrong. He misses her, but knows he couldn't be with someone he's become.

And at the end, I always get this image of him, standing alone at her funeral, staring at the freshly covered grave with the words Weather Girl engraved on her tombstone.

hmm. 'weather girl.' i don't think it has anything to do with a weather broadcaster on tv. weather changes. snow, rain, sun, clouds. people change.

this song is about a girl who has changed, or changes alot, in my opinion. like, there's alot of symbolism used, weather girl being the main symbol. because the girl, the 'weather girl', changes, just like the weather. of has changed, just like the weather. she wants alot more than she can handle: an overachiever.

i think its about someone that everyone counts on to have information or an answer for them, like always being able to turn on the weather channel and have someone telling you the forecast, and when that person is gone you miss having that security.

to clear up the thing about a friendship, or it being about a boy and a girl, I think you should know that Carah Faye from Shiny Toy Guns is a lesbian. By girlfriend she probably means an actual girlfriend.

It's about someone who is trying to become well-known and infamous, but she ends up losing everything she had in the first place.

As many of the 80's club kids learned, that really isn't true. It's a very destructive path. the thing about dancing is probably referring to becoming a stripper or a dancer, which is what most women in hollywood start out doing.

"With your pretty pink bow Weather girl, where did you go?" They don't know what happened to her. She isn't the same since she became immersed in the sleazy hollywood scene. They don't know what happened to the girl they loved, because she changed.
