All this useless beauty is haunting to my heart
Dim the headlights
Lay beneath this starry sea of night

Sounds of silence
So enchanting, all embracing
So seductive and so pure
Hope so exists in our minds
Beauty untouched by the light

Stare into lights on this motorway
Approaching in the night
I often wonder what it'd feel like
A slight jerk to the right
Everything goes black

Hope so exists in our minds
Sadness untouched by the light

Sound of sirens, beautiful sadness
Whispering softly
This final push and the night it is ours

Hope so exists in our minds
Beauty untouched by the light

General CommentTrash. This isn't the ataris. Not to me.

General CommentThat's rather close minded. It's a more mature album. Since the beginning of the band, Kris Roe has gone through a lot. The loss of band members through quitting and suicide, the divorce of two wives, and this is a parallel to Reggie and the Full Effect's Songs Not To Get Married To. It's an atmospheric album that was hinted at through So Long Astoria.

General Commenti love the ataris but he's right, this song is trash. I like about half of the new songs a lot, but the others are really bad.

General CommentThis song actually surprised me with how unique it is. I like how the lyrics are almost in the background while the music really comes through. Very haunting and atmospheric.

General CommentThis is the only song on the new album I don't like at all. I honestly find it boring.

General CommentWow you guys must be really young... like high school, possibly college frosh. It's a killer track, and it's too bad most of you are far too closed-minded to watch a band expand beyond their original simple pop-punk proclivities into something *way* more interesting. Easily one of the BEST tracks on the album. Like TetherGuitarist said, if you didn't expect this after listening to So Long Astoria, you need to pay more attention.

General CommentThe entire new album is amazing. Kris has gone deeper into his lyrics than ever before. Every single note, you can tell is carefully thought out and each song passionately played. The whole album expresses Kris' new beginning in life and the end of his old one. This song is most definitely one of my favorites. Welcome the Night is something worth paying for, and they need the help since they're independent now.

General CommentYeah seriously, I'm a senior in high school, and even I can see how amazingly thoughtful this song is. It allows you to really see how much they have matured as a band and how much Kris has matured personally. Awesome song

General Commentwhat can you expect from kids who don't grow up?
    this song is amazing.
to me, it's raw in its maturity.
this song is definitely one of my favorites from this album.
you can't expect them to stay the "Boys of Summer" forever.
    people do evolve.
