Even Here We Are Lyrics
Beautiful flowers in your garden
But the most beautiful by far
The one growing wild in the garbage dump
Even here even here we are
Song of the bird lives in the sky
But the most beautiful by far
Scream of the man who never learned to fly
Even here even here we are
Sun shines bright, it's a beautiful sight
But the most beautiful by far
Is the blind girl alone with the angel of the night
Even here even here we are
But the most beautiful by far
The one growing wild in the garbage dump
But the most beautiful by far
Scream of the man who never learned to fly
But the most beautiful by far
Is the blind girl alone with the angel of the night

Song of the bird way up in the sky
A song for all the beautiful losers with whom Paul identifies. Even here we are.
Says while you can dig the song of the bird up in the sky, but to me of the scream of the earthbound is more attractive.
I think this is based on Carson Mccullers' Heart is a Lonely Hunter. The protagonist is John Singer (Paul). The blind girl is a character from that too. Scream of the man who never learnt to fly is another character who could not break away from his situation.
