Lyrics aren't hard to understand: it's about a person, that has lived a bad life and wants to change - BUT he doesn't regret the past thus he feels empty / hollow.
Great song though.
I find it frustrating when people insist that they KNOW what the true meaning of a song is. Music that is art, both musically and lyrically, is meant to be interpreted. That's the whole idea, there is no one right answer.

The female backing vocals on this track are fuckin creepy, not in a bad way tho. Deff have to say that i had low hopes for IV for the fact that faceless didn't hit me as hard as their self titled and Awake. But I have to say sully keeps it commin with better shit than last.
Now when i hear this song i get the thought of Dime Bag, And the title of it Hollow just reminds me of Pantera. First thought by the song title it might be a cover. Or possibly a song towards Phil and how he feels about the whole dime situation... i dunno, Maybe its just thinking of pantera and i should go listen to a few albums

Okay back on topic, this song is about a guy who's made the wrong decisions his whole life and wants to go back and change, but he's not sorry for what he's done. Basically the same thing punkD said
I think in the beginning of the song its almost suicidal. Definently a depressing song
finally taking responsibility for your own life, your own faults.. that one moment in your life when you realise where you are: alone, in the dark, begging for some sign to keep going, some hope.. it's a very lonely place when you finally look at yourself and know you don't like what you've become.
