Pietro Crespi Lyrics
Could you love someone enough
after all you've had and you've lost?
It's a simple question,
and I'm only asking 'cause I don't want to die alone.
Could you love someone completely?
And yes, by someone I mean me,
spoiled sick like milk you let sit too long.
It's a simple question.
As I lie awake
waiting for you to wake beside me,
you can almost hear the sad waltzes
of Pietro Crespi.
Could you love someone
who does whatever he wants to do,
whenever I want to?
It's a simple question,
and I'm only asking 'cause I don't want to die alone.

It's a simple question,
and I'm only asking 'cause I don't want to die alone.

it's actually "waiting for you to lay beside me"
mike actually never finished reading One Hundred Years of Solitude
Pietro Crespi is a character in One Hundred Years Of Lonliness (also translated as One Hundred Years Of Solitude), a novel by Gabriel García Marquez. If you haven't read the deamn book, do it. Now. One of the greatest novels ever written.
its also the name of kinsella's best song. what a genius.
it's actually called THE SAD WALTZES of pietro crespi.
Not quite, this was the version that he sung live before the song had a name. The lyrics are very slighlty different from the version that's going to come out in november.
No it's not... again, this was the live version he used to do
well then they should have put live on the title, because the real one he released on his myspace with the same name has different lyrics
"mike actually never finished reading One Hundred Years of Solitude"
did you read that in wonka vision? if so that's funny because i wrote that story.
I love that book, though it is pretty long. Before I heard it, I thought "Bags of Bones" was another allusion to the book. The song "Remedios the Beautiful" by Appleseed Cast is also an allusion to One Hundred Years of Solitude, and I find it interesting that it's inspired that much.
