Minor key symphony Lyrics
Got a postcard, a postcard from my better place
And it read, "I wish you were here, I wish you were"
And the soundtrack, the soundtrack from a better night
And it sang, "I wish you were here. You should have stayed here"
As life leaves my eyes
I realize I must have died
It looks like I didn't make it through the night
I never got to say goodbye
I'll never get to say anything at all again to the world
That barely knew I was alive
Sing a requiem for me
Make it sad but sweet
A song about release
A minor key symphony
Found a letter, a letter from my dear old friend
And it said, "I wish you were here, I wish you were"
And a prayer, a prayer in a familiar voice
And she wept, "I wish you were here, why can't you be here?"
As life leaves my eyes
I realize I must have died
It looks like I didn't make it through the night
I never got to say goodbye
I'll never get to say anything at all again to the world
That barely knew I was alive
Sing a requiem for me
Make it sad but sweet
A song about release
A minor key symphony
I got your flowers today
So perfectly arranged
With a card attached, "I'm sorry you could not stay"
They came a little late, I had to wait till they died
There's no tears up here
But I'm sure that I would have cried.
To everyone I've loved
To all who once loved me
I never meant to leave
I never got to say goodbye
I'll never get to say anything at all again to the world
That barely knew I was alive
Sing a requiem for me
Make it sad but sweet

THIS SONG KICKS ASS!
this song makes me sooo sad...it was the first song by cauterize i ever heard...
basically it seems like he's dying while all those around him are kind of oblivious to the pain going on inside him...as he slips off to his last few seconds he's regretting leaving all those who loved him and that he loved ni return. he thought that he was invisible to the world until he really put thought into all the people who cared about him...
such a sweet sad song...
I think that this song is being sang from the POV of someone who died and is now looking down at the people around him and how they cope with his death from wherever you go when you die.
This is an excellent song; I love Cauterize. <3
