One Fine Day Lyrics
like to reminisce about a time I’ve never had
A book that no one read
A film that never made me sad
And you remind of a place I've never been
And something no one said
When I was 17
One fine day
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
Remember when we never struggled through
A bad time we never had
A love we never fell into
Please don't remind me to forget
'Cause forgiveness is a place
I ain't got used to yet
One fine day
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
All I ever wanted
Was to radiate your home
But I guess it doesn't matter
So come reminisce about a time we didn't have
I hear there's a sequel to that film that never made you sad
Don't rewrite my history
Cause you'll never really know
How much you didn’t mean to me
One fine day
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
But you probably won't admit it
A book that no one read
A film that never made me sad
And you remind of a place I've never been
And something no one said
When I was 17
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
A bad time we never had
A love we never fell into
Please don't remind me to forget
'Cause forgiveness is a place
I ain't got used to yet
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
Was to radiate your home
But I guess it doesn't matter
I hear there's a sequel to that film that never made you sad
Don't rewrite my history
Cause you'll never really know
How much you didn’t mean to me
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
In the middle of the night
You'll wake up in it
One fine day
In the middle of the night
But you probably won't admit it
But you probably won't admit it

This is a special song - really clever lyrics and it's exactly how I feel about a certain time in my life too. It's about times you could have had but didn't, quite sad. I love the line "don't rewrite my history cos you'll never really know how much you didn't mean to me" - genius, I know exactly what he means. In his book Feel, Robbie says he thought bits of this song were about how he felt about his parents divorcing. It also says that the song was based on a poem he had to learn at school and I think it must be the same poem I knew when I was younger. It goes like this:
One fine day in the middle of the night Two dead men got up to fight Back to back, they faced each other Drew their swords and shot each other
i like it soo much! especially lines "a bad time we never had, a love we never fell into" and
"So come reminisce about a time we didn't have I hear there's a sequel to that film that never made you sad Don't rewrite my history Cause you'll never really know How much you didnt mean to me"
This song's cool! Robbie Williams is one of my favorites!
