In The White

The way I see this song, it all comes down to the first line: "Are you in, or are you out?" - It's a question. I think the entire song is basically about a crossroad in life, and he's asking the other person "Are we going to be together or not?"

In a sense I think it's about loneliness, because he's spent his whole life in "The quiet cold of inner darkness" and it's only through the person the song describes, that he's found happiness or come to know himself... or whatever.

And so, even if the other person decides to move on... he will always wait for them, because that's the only place he could ever find himself.

Make sense?

Anyway, this is probably my favorite track on the album, and one of my favorite songs overall. I love it.

A few people here are in the right direction, it seems. I believe it's someone who has finally found a potential lover, whom both parties are hesitant to be with one another.

"To overcome this I become one with The quiet cold of late november If you don't see I'll remain unseen Until there's time to be remembered"

At this part, the character is stating that their afraid to imply to the other that they want to further things. And until the other character finally sees this somehow, and (most importantly) acts upon the other's desires, then they will remain the same- Alone.

"So I had a green light I was lost in city lights Not far from a try This is not our last goodbye"

This part expresses how the character might of had a bold chance to show the other how much they felt about them. Rather it be a kiss, an explanation, or any kind of 'try' or attempt. They however, are having a hard time reaching that point after seeing them through both of their darkness. And finally this person has finally realized that they have been seeking this person their whole life.

A song about loneliness? Seems like it.

To me, that means someone is ignored for too long, untill they die (suicide?). Then everyone that ignored him feels apathy.

This song is filled with emotion. Just beautiful...

i also think this song is about lonliness i thing wat he means by "i had a green light i was lost in city lights" i think wat append is no one payed any attention to him then he was in a car accident and then everyone relized who he was (srry not very good with words)

I think this is a song about finding that kindred soul you've been looking for, and then that person hesitating to be with you.

it makes me depressed every single time ... esp the part that says " if u don't see ill remain unseen until there's a time to be remembered' but I still don't know what exactly some parts are talking about

in my opinion it's about stalking, stalking in the quiet cold darkness
