Margretville Dance, The Lyrics
Between You & Me,
And how cautious we have become
Leaving you hooked & off the floor,
To think the better you might have known... with age,
With every breath you wake a picture instilled the way,
I wish you had lived with cause through pain,
No, no matter you died the same... Machine,
So tell me like you want to,
(Here we come to rock your body all...)
If you want me too,
(Here we come to rock your body all night).
When who's to blame,
In a matter of fact I might,
Purely suggest we tell the truth,
From here on out we walk the straight... afraid,
What will they do should we weather this new reply?
Patiently wait your proper end,
From shameless motive to hollow sin,
You're waste.
So tell me like you want to,
(Here we come to rock your body all...)
If you want me too,
(Here we come to rock your body all night)
'Cause I don't want you to come around here,
I just want you to go.
I don't want you to come around here,
I just want you to know:
Is this the way you
Is this the way you
Is this the way you watch the body die?
'Cause I don't want your
(I said) "love" before you rot.
And how cautious we have become
Leaving you hooked & off the floor,
To think the better you might have known... with age,
With every breath you wake a picture instilled the way,
I wish you had lived with cause through pain,
No, no matter you died the same... Machine,
So tell me like you want to,
(Here we come to rock your body all...)
If you want me too,

Ridiculous. Awesome, though.
Yes... it IS awesome... Surprised not more people have posted on this... especially with all the Coheed fans this place seems to have. Anyway, The Prize Fighter Inferno CD should be phenomenal. Very Michael Jackson sounding... but I mean that as a compliment. And the beat sounds like "When Doves Cry" by Prince. Just amazing. Claudio is the man.
By the way this PFI stuff will be loosely connected to the CoCa storyline. See the PFI myspace page for more details.
This is my second favorite P.F.I. song. It's a nice change of pace to their acoustic songs. There are actually 3 other P.F.I. songs I have dowloaded. I'm working on getting the lyrics for them so I can post them.
This song IS very Prince / Egyptian Lover / Kraftwerk influenced...
Love the breathing on the track. Not many people pull that off so nicely.
They may have even use a Linn drum machine or atleast the hit sounds from one on this which could explain the 80's Prince-sounding beat
It's just The Margretville Dance not The Margretville TOWN Dance.
It used to be called The Margretville Town Dance but the name was changed when the Cd was released. I think this song is about Cecillia and her twin brothers being captured ("From here on out we walk restrained... Afraid") by the Bleam family, whom they meet in the woods after running away from home (see Our Dearest Daughter...). Their mother may or may not be alive at this point (depending upon your interpretation of 'A Death In the Family') but, either way, The Bleam brothers Long-Arm and Butchie are FREAKING CRAZY and obsessed with sending souls to god, for which purpose they create the Blood Machine, a machine which rips dead bodies apart to harvest their soul and send it to god. The reference to the "Machine" and lines such as "Is this the way you watch the body die?" suggest they are taken to the machine by the Bleam brothers. At which point the song ends?
By 'their mother' I mean the Bleam brothers' mother, who gets killed by the family patriarch for pinching Meth from his stash, but it is uncertain at which point this occurs. This sends the Bleam Brothers spiraling even further into madness.

'Cause I don't want you to come around here, I just want you to go. I don't want you to come around here, I just want you to know. Is this the way you, is this the way you, is this the way you watch the body die? Is this the way you, is this the way you, is this the way you, watch the body die? 'Cause I don't want your, I said, love before you rot. 'Cause I don't want your, said, love before you rot. 'Cause I don't want your. 'Cause I don't want your. 'Cause I don't want your. 'Cause I don't want your. 'Cause I don't want your.
Was it really necessary to write all of that when you could have made the 2 corrections in about 1/7 the time?
