This is my favorite song on their CD, I think.

I think he's just singing about a fake, someone he put his time into just to realize it was all a fake.

the first half seems almost orwellian, being monitored, made with prostetic hearts, all being the same. even the beat of the song seems to imply that, with the cheering in the background, and such a strong beat creating a feeling of marching.

the second half seems to be about being left to the side, and forgotten about, perhaps by a girl, or perhaps by the orwellian society implied.

I dunno I like to think it's the orewellian society, where he can stand and look at it from the outside, seeing how soulless it really is, but it results in the society crushing him and leaving him behind. and thus, it's just about the meat grinder society of today breaking people down

I doubt anyone else sees it like that, but who knows? I like it my way

okay, this and almost every other song on their new cd is about justin's bipolar disorder. this song is him trying to explain what it feels like to live with this disease. he's kind of giving us a "behind the scenes" as to what it's like dealing with this every day, and how he's trying to control it.

yeah the song kind of does make you want to move. it is about the whole disorder thing and you can tell. and its not "we're recording maybe" its we're recording you" and then they throw things in there thruought the song like " i olny want to see" "i cant believe" & "maybe" every now and again...goddamn i love blue october
