Let It Go Lyrics
Where do u go
When the day is long
And where does your heart beat
And who is wrong
Why do i feel this way
Why do i kneel
How could i let it go
Why do i feel
Why do i feel
Why
Follow me home
Through the, the maze and awn
I'll show u the road
That i led u the wrong way on
Why did i go that way
Why do i steel
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
Oh why did i go that way
Why do i steal
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
Why do i feel
Why
Why
Why did i go that way
Why do i need
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
Oh why did i go that way
How could i steel
Oh how could i
How could i
How could i
How could i
How could i
When the day is long
And where does your heart beat
And who is wrong
Why do i kneel
How could i let it go
Why do i feel
Why do i feel
Why
Through the, the maze and awn
I'll show u the road
That i led u the wrong way on
Why do i steel
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
Why do i steal
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
Why do i feel
Why
Why did i go that way
Why do i need
How could i let her go
Why do i feel
How could i steel
Oh how could i
How could i
How could i
How could i

i think it may be about how while he went down the wrong path with drugs and whatever else, he may have dragged someone else down with him. who knows. just my input.
It's simple. There really are not very many words in this song, but it's easy to get a profound meaning out of it. She is gone because he made it that way. He let her go and perhaps didn't realize at the time what he was giving up. Now--later on as time has elapsed--he sees that he's made a mistake, but when they were together he was leading her down a path that wasn't good for her. The things he exposed her to were wrong, but she followed like a puppy because she loved him. Now he's regretting ending it, he's regretting those wrong things that he did and he's wondering why he has to feel this pain. Why can't he just be numb and unaware of it all?
Sounds to me like he just broke up with his girlfriend, and it's depressing him. He can't forgive himself for letting her get away, and he thinks it'd be easier if he couldn't feel anything at all.
i kinda agree but its nicely sung
Agreed, although isn't the lyric:
Why did I go that way? Why do I still?
It seems it may be his dialect when singing, (such as many artists -- Tori Amos comes immediately to mind) that tend to pronounce words a bit differently, with different phonetics.
"Why do I steel" may work; why does he act so hard and brusque? Perhaps. But 'why did I go that way; why do I still?' makes better sense, I think.
I actually think its steal, but both steal and still makes sense but steel doesnt

Definitely agree with you, mindhundtress. I tend to think the lyrics are "still." Great tune. Saw them in concert last month. Incredible show.
The lyrics for the second verse are more likely to be, "Through the, the maize and awn"
Awn refers to bristles from grain and maize is another word for corn.
It would also be neat to see the lyrics cleaned up by capitalizing "i" and filling out "u".
As for the song's meaning, it does not necessarily have to be a broken relationship. It could be referring to a relationship that never happened at all.
Kinda reminds me of what I'm going through with a girl I know.. :/
beautifally sang... i luv this song.... they kinda sound like pink floyd in it..
Confusion is the basic theme of the song. He is not sure why he stills feels why he still feels so much emotion for her and at the same time be the one who ended the relationship. He rather not feel this way, not feel at all.
