Wake to the Sun Lyrics

This gloomy weather doesn't break it any
Break it anymore
The sun abandoned us for blue skies somewhere
Blue skies somewhere warm
The world outside my window is scratching at my door
There's only stories
Of what life was like before

(Take me away) Where the skies aren't
(Shades of grey) Baby, let's make
(Our escape) To a place where
(We can) wake to sun again

Board the windows up its cold as hell
Its cold as hell out there
Light some candles need to shed some light
To shed some light in here
The streets are cold and damp the trees are dark and bare
This dead season, it seems to last right through the year

(Take me away) Where the skies aren't
(Shades of grey) Baby, let's make
(Our escape) To a place where
(We can) wake to sun again

Lets leave it all behind us
Find a nice little island
We can live like a story
That ends like a fairytale
Leave all of your possessions
Forget all that you thought you knew
So we can live like a movie
That ends like we want it to

And I wanna go
Now now now now
[x3]
And I wanna go

Lets leave it all behind us
Find a nice little island
Where we can live like a story
That ends like a fairytale

(Take me away) Where the skies aren't
(Shades of grey) Baby, let's make
(Our escape) To a place where
(We can) wake to sun again
[x2]

Cover art for Wake to the Sun lyrics by Cauterize

I don't understand how Cauterize didn't blow up yet. They crazy main stream, every song on the track is catchy as hell. If I owned a record label, I would have went all out on Cauterize.

Seriously, every time I play their songs, ppl ask me who they are.
