i think it means that we should fight for unity and equality of all!! since the past they've been fighting for this. we should continue what they started. we should all fight for unity and peace!

fighting for peace seems counterproductive, but what else can you do? perhaps theres a better word we should be using, but maybe fighting seems to be the only one that gets the point across.

I think this song is about the Jews going back to Israel ("To Zion we roam", "With the brothers coming home at last")Zion being Israel. I also feel like he's talking directly to the Jewish people (Sons and daughters of Abraham). Maybe ha.
