It all seemed perfect
But there are moments when I feel nothing at all
Same as always
Now it's repeating itself all over again

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Don't feel sorry
'Cause there's no reason for us to fight any more
Tears are coming, and years are going
I hope we'll learn something

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Night after night you say you move on
Tomorrow, tomorrow
Now, what's holding you back?
I don't know, I don't know, I don't know

Like some people said, I think its actually the singer speaking to herself, but I think it's she is trying to convince herself from a relationship that went bad.

The first stanza of the song is a prelude to her breaking up, and the rest is the way she feels after breaking up, the longing to be back again despite her knowing that it is for the best; if you have ever felt this way about someone, I have, it's a feeling I am too familiar with. I like listening to this song when accompanied by Queen of Apology, another song about regret in my mind.

Someone said they liked to slow version better cause it was sadder; yea it is. But I like the fast version because I think it reflects the mask she is trying to put over her feeling, she is trying to convince herself everything will change tomorrow by being upbeat, but in the end she is still gunna feel the same tomorrow and she doesnt know why she cant move on.

I don't know, I don't know" part she is singing to herself, you know, when you are with someone who hurts so much but you still find yourself going after her, i am in that situation, (damn korean girls) anyways saw the sounds play in mexico city it was awesome

It's just.....wow. It clearly describes my situation. One love, one "fight", you lose, you can't get over it...........but maybe tomorrow..........maybe not........

I never really had much liking for this song, but after seeing it performed live, and seeing the emotion that Maja has in the song, it's become a new favorite. She really seems to be tied to this song, and I think it goes like the others said, and it's about when someone is in a relationship, yet they can't get themselves to move on.

    My Interpretation

Maya is clearly speaking of heartbreak in this song. More than likely her loving another person and them constantly leaving her only to come back and mess with her emotions and treat her like crap. Never loving her as much as she loves them and ultimatly making her numb inside. Ive seen The Sounds perform numerous times and everytime she sings Night After Night she asks someone in the crowd for a cigarette and begins to tear up. Im assuming she is speaking of women because Maya is infact a lesbian.

I think this is about her realizing that a relationship that she is in has lost its meaning. There's "no reason to fight anymore" because there's nothing left worth fighting over. She hopes that the she actually "learned something" from it, but isn't sure, and just knows that the time has gone by.

Techno Ted
Audioslave
Techno Ted may be a person who caused Chris incredible emotional pain & trepidation as well as moments of peace & happiness but now is removed and awaiting his fate. Darling may be a different person who is also free of him and can live her life free of Ted's tyranny. "In between all the laughing, and daydreams ... lies: a desert of truth" Lies are like a desert or the omission of Truth: Where there were Lies then Truth was absent. The song, "Techno Ted", may be a cathartic celebration of the downfall of this person.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.
