World War Me Lyrics
Let's starve down to the bone, we're looking better boney
Who needs figure anyway?
Stay with me, stay with me,
So I can dig my nails deep in your cave
It feels better now without control, oh girl,
you look better blurry angel
Why do we need to be sanitary
when the world's so filthy anyway?
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child
I can't stop running away
I'm a one life, hopeless dirty animal baby
And I bow down to my feeble brain
Aberrated, primitive
Stay with me, stay with me
No food for weeks I've never felt better
We look better famished girl
Hightail to our lush escape,
And leave our filthy world away
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child
I can't stop running away
I'm on the verge of self destruction
Suffering because of my selfish vices
I'm on the verge of self destruction
Suffering because I gave up on myself and everyone
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child,
I can't stop running away
Poor unfortunate child,
I can't stop running away
Who needs figure anyway?
Stay with me, stay with me,
So I can dig my nails deep in your cave
you look better blurry angel
Why do we need to be sanitary
when the world's so filthy anyway?
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child
I can't stop running away
And I bow down to my feeble brain
Aberrated, primitive
Stay with me, stay with me
We look better famished girl
Hightail to our lush escape,
And leave our filthy world away
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child
I can't stop running away
Suffering because of my selfish vices
I'm on the verge of self destruction
Suffering because I gave up on myself and everyone
Oh poor me, oh poor you, ohhh
Poor unfortunate child,
I can't stop running away
Poor unfortunate child,
I can't stop running away

just heard this. it's sick. better than i expected anyway. i guess this songs about beign obsessed to the point where you don't care about anything else anymore.
This song is really good, one of my favorites off the CD, It reminds me of eating disorders and self harm and things like that...I don't know...
this song i think is about dirty moments between sonny and his "girlfriend" =S some people have told me it turns them on xD
but i love this song anyway ive been obsessed with it for about 3 days
I effin' adore this song.
Ok well i think it's about drug abuse - mainly because dont drug abusers end up just being skin a bone anyway? the constant reminders of starvation and lack of food reminds me of that
also lines like "you look better blurry angel" and "hightail to our lush escape" make me think that the feeling they get when they're under the incluence of whatever
"I'm on the verge of self destruction Suffering because of my selfish vices I'm on the verge of self destruction Suffering because I gave up on myself and everyone"
^^^ that's all about realising what he was doing to himself and why but "he can't stop running away" ie running away from the world and getting high
does anyone know what their screaming at the very beginning...or are they not saying anything, just screaming??
they scream. then say something. then scream again.
i like the drug theory it's good and makes sense.
but i think that it's about eating disorders and self harm and body image and getting into nasty habits with friends. cause a lot of anorexics/bulimics/harmers often will get into it and do it together with friends because then they know their not alone and they feel a little better about what they're doing, and it makes it seem "okay".
i think it's about both; drugs & eating disorders, or self harm in general.
i am not saying people who think these songs about drugs are wrong; because their theories make a lot of sense. but i wonder if they hadn't have called the album Heroine; would the drug theory come up so much? yes, granted; it's not the spelling of the drug, but it comes with so much negativity attached for that even though it's actually a female hero. you say "i want heroine" and people stare at you like a junkie. people associate the title to drugs, not by spelling but by sound. sorry about the ranting..
i dont think the name of the album has anything to do with it. mainly because even without looking at the album name you could easily see that it could be about drug abuse as well as self harm ...not meaning to sound like someone who's crushing your view but i dont really think the name of the album has substantial relevance to the way people would interpret the meaning of the song
