Rocky Raccoon (Beatles cover) Lyrics
Rocky Raccoon, he was a fool unto himself
For he would not swallow his foolish pride
Mind you, coming from a little town in Minnesota
It is not the kind of thing a young guy did
When a fellow went out and stole his chick away from him
Now, Rocky Raccoon checked into his room
Only to find Gideon's bible
Rocky had come equipped with the gun
To shoot off the legs of his rival
His rival it seems had broken his dreams
By stealing the girl of his fancy
Her name was Magill, and she called herself Lil
But everyone knew her as Nancy
Now she and her man who called himself Dan
Were in the next room at the hoe-down
And Rocky burst in and grinning a grin
Said, "Danny boy, this is a showdown"
(Ye-hah!)
But Daniel was hot, he drew first and shot
And Rocky collapsed in the corner
(Oh!)
Dalada dadum badum dada
Dalada dadum badum dada
Dalada dadum badum dada dum
The doctor walked in, stinking of gin
And proceeded to lie on the table
The doctor said, "Rock, you met your match, son"
Rocky said, "No, it's only a scratch
I'll be better soon, Doc
I'll be better soon"
Well come on, Rock
Come on, Rock
Rocky Raccoon fell back in his room
Only to find Gideon's bible
Gideon checked out and left him no doubt
To help with good Rocky's revival
(Yeah)

lol my name is rocky ahah so cool!
James Blunt totally missed the point of this song. It's just supposed to be a fun little country-diddy, and he tried to make it all serious and emotional. Plus he changed the intro and tried to put a little moral in there. That's really lame
The Beatles always had diffrent intros to this song. I've heard at least three diffrent ones, and I geuss this might be even a fourth. Or it could be something Blunt wrote. Maybe it's because I haven't heard it, but I don't think that it's lame...
