Where I'm Anymore Lyrics
Ten million pounds of plastic baby stuff there beyond the doors
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
M'ijas riding little pink bikes in the middle of the road
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
There was a punch-out
Happened at the take-out, a tweaker and a dog
It seems that the dog stole a blanket
From the tweaker in the park
But cheapshots happen
When thermometers are yellin' one-o-four
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
An icecream truck each night plays 'don't believe the hype'
For oil stained driveways with exercise equipment piled high
All this seen from a yellow lawn hittin' eighty-four
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
M'ijas riding little pink bikes in the middle of the road
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
Where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
Happened at the take-out, a tweaker and a dog
It seems that the dog stole a blanket
From the tweaker in the park
When thermometers are yellin' one-o-four
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore
Where I'm anymore
Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow
Where I'm anymore
For oil stained driveways with exercise equipment piled high
All this seen from a yellow lawn hittin' eighty-four
Garage sale sunday and I don't know where I'm anymore

Meow, meow, meow, meow, meow

Bloody brilliant song. Beautifully portrays the suburban nightmare of young families finding their lives effectively over. It doesn't have to be that way people! Honestly, it doesn't! I have a kid and I'm still cool.
The line is
"Mijas riding little pink bikes in the middle of the road"
not
"Knee-highs riding little pink bikes in the middle of the road"
I like the idea of Public Enemy being played from an ice cream truck.
@brainseatloser I have the urge to become an ice cream truck driver just to do this

This is so Modesto.
This is my favorite of their last album. It's so chill.
Favorite Grandaddy song, I have no idea why I love the fade out so much, but I can't get enough of it.
Lytle always looked like an old young guy to me. The way he sounds, thinks, dresses.. some people just have that edge of youth for a lot longer, sometimes til the very end.
Its a very peaceful and vulnerable song. It sounds like slice-of-life stuff but also feeling very disoriented in that life. Its bright and beautiful and tear-jerking. What a subtle piece.
