first song that i ever heard, and it got me hooked after the first two lines- i swear.
the meaning is obvious, i think. he loves a girl, and she loves him too, but they can't make it work no matter how hard they try. i wish that wasn't the story of my life.

Talk about depressing. I swear though, these songs are well written and they literally speak for me. Doesn't anyone ever feel like all of a sudden... you hear a song and its feels like its made for you? That happens to me alot. These couldn't be any better. :)

I am so in love with this guy who's Secondhand Serenade...He is perfectly amazing! And this song spoke to me the very first time I heard it...I am going through a similar situation, but I think I interpreted it differently...I see it as he wants to be with this girl, but people are telling him he shouldn't for different reasons, hence the "despite the fact that men are fools." And there are just things stopping him from pursuing this girl, which sounds like it's bound to end in unrequited love..

I love this song. It seems to me that in this song the guy and his partner have all these obstacles that are getting in between them and he is asking her to try and overcome these obstacles with him. He saying that he would give up, but then he can't let her go because he's looking into their freedom in the future so he's asking her to try so they'll be happy again especially when it's just him and her without the troubles of life.

I think this song is about a guy that is on the verge of breaking up with his girlfriend because its not working out at the moment. The relationship is dying, but still, she is all he can think about and he knows deep down that its meant to be.
